Alcohol and Substance Abuse

Alcohol and Substance misuse is a serious issue that is often difficult to tackle.

It is characterised by an overuse or dependency on alcohol or drugs (including prescribed medication), and can have a huge impact on daily functioning.

Most people need long-term or repeated care and support to stop using and recover their lives.

Our specialist consultant psychiatrist Dr Boulos Tadros can provide help and support for you and your family, which can include

  • Guidance on harm reduction
  • Medication to help with detoxification
  • Advice on other forms of treatment and support including psychotherapy, detox, self-help groups, and rehab.
  • Guidance and treatment on how to stop using, and how to stay drug and alcohol free if that is the required goal
