Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

It is useful to start the assessment process if your child and adolescent shows signs of emotional difficulties, developmental issues, or mental health difficulties.

  • You will have a senior, expert medical opinion as to what the diagnosis is and what should be done to treat it.
  • The assessment with our consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist lasts about an hour and a half.
  • Part of the assessment questions can only be answered by a parent, others only by the child. If possible, it helps to see both parents.
  • Following the first assessment you will receive a report with a summary and recommended next steps.
  • It is often necessary for a full assessment for the person to be seen by more than professional. This includes ASD, ADHD, Tourette’s. See our packages or contact us for more information.
