Dr Loza is a licensed, British trained psychiatrist with over thirty five years of experience. He is the director of The Behman Psychiatric Hospital in Helwan, Egypt, and of the Maadi Psychology Centre, Egypt, and practices from several Behman Psychological Consultations clinic locations in Cairo and the International Clinic in London.
Dr Loza completed his medical training at Cairo University in 1981 and continued his training in psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry & the Maudsley Hospital in London. He became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 1987 and a Fellow in 1995. He was awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the College in 2015.
Dr Loza is a member of American and Egyptian Psychiatric Associations and chair of the Arab Board of Psychiatry. He is a member of the editorial board of The Arab Journal of Psychiatry and The British Journal of Psychiatry (International). Additionally, he is Chairman of the Middle East Division of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Dr Loza is the President of the World Federation for Mental Health, he served as the Secretary General for Mental Health, The Ministry of Health, Egypt (2006 – 2011). He currently serves on the Advisory Group that reviews and advises PD/PI for a multi-site NIH funded training grant.
Dr Loza’s approach to treatment is eclectic using psychotherapy and psychopharmacology with a symptom based approach.

Dr Loza's 60 minutes appointment is for £475. Initial 30 minutes appointment is for £300.
Follow-up appointments are 30-minutes long for £250 for virtual appointments, and £300 for face to face.
