Dr Saadia Arshad is a licensed, British trained psychiatrist with over seventeen years of experience. She works as Consultant Psychiatrist in NHS and as Medical Director for an independent health provider in London.

Dr Arshad completed her medical training at King Edward Medical University in 2001 and continued her training in psychiatry with Charing Cross Scheme and later at The Institute of Psychiatry & the Maudsley Hospital in London. She became a Member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2008.  During specialist training, she obtained Masters in Epilepsy (MSc) from King’s College, London with distinction.

Dr Arshad worked as Clinical Director for Intellectual Disabilities in large, London based NHS Trust. She is an associate member of the Academy of Medical Educators UK, a member of International League Against Epilepsy (ILEA – UK) and is recognised trainer, educator and mentor for doctors in training. She completed her training as a Coach in Quality Improvement via Institute of Health Improvement, US

Issues/Problems of Specialisation

Dr Arshad has holistic approach to management of ill-health using combination of psychopharmacology and psychological interventions with an aim towards achieving recovery and symptom control.

Her clinical experience in specialist area  means that she is comfortable working with a wide variety of difficulties and concerns including:

  • Autism Spectrum Conditions
  • Other Neurodevelopmental Disorders
  • Medico-legal assessments

Dr Saadia Arshad currently offers in-person and online sessions.
Initial assessment lasts from 90 minutes, most follow-up sessions are 30-minutes long. The fee for the initial assessment is £712.5, and £250 for virtual follow up appointments.
