Chartered Clinical Psychologist
Dr Noreen Dera is a HCPC registered, British trained Clinical Psychologist with over 7 years of mental health experience. She currently works with the NHSproviding high quality psychological care for adults with long and enduring mental health conditions.
Dr Noreen completed her undergraduate in Psychology at Aston University, Birmingham and continued his training in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at University College London. She then completed her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hertfordshire in 2021. Dr Noreen registered as a Chartered Clinical Psychologist in 2021. She is a member of the British Psychological Society and the Association of Clinical Psychologists-UK. She was also appointed as an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in 2021.
Dr Noreen is also the founder of Breaking Mad, a non-profit organization providing culturally responsive and sensitive therapies. She has also won awards for her contributions to championing diversity and inclusion within the mental health arena.
Issues/Problems of Specialisation
Dr Noreen’s approach to treatment is integrative and formulation driven, with the primary approach being Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is also trained to provide Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy and Compassion Focussed Therapy. She also draws from systemic and narrative approaches when working with individuals, families and couples.
