Rosi Rangelova
BSC, MA
Psychotherapist, BPS, BACP (Accred.)
Rosi is an experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Rosi has completed a BSc in Psychology and has qualified in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. Rosi is a qualified supervisor and she has a postgraduate qualification in working with “Addictions and Eating disorders”, she has further completed the “Psyche and Soma” course on using drama and movement in therapy. She is presently studying for a diploma in Couple’s Counselling.
Rosi considers herself a “depth psychologist” which means that she seeks to uncover the roots of the ailment and facilitate repairing, healing and recovering health. She is also a “humanistic therapist,” which means that she believes in the potential of our organismic whole to restore healthy functioning. She sees her role as a facilitator as a process of tapping into one’s inner powers.
Rosi was born in Sofia, Bulgaria and has lived in four countries in the last 25 years: Bulgaria, Russia, Kazakhstan, and the UK. She speaks three languages fluently, to mother tongue level: English, Russian, and Bulgarian.
Her studies and own experiences of cultural difference have warned her equally against stereotyping and against underestimating the role of culture in one’s personality make-up. She prefers to keep her cultural knowledge as a resource yet keeping an open mind and trying to see the person as they are rather than to fit them into some model or template. Rosi describes her preferred starting point, as “I may know of the culture you have been brought up in, but I know nothing of you” and building up her understanding on that premise.
Rosi feels passionate about one’s efforts to grow and become better in their lives and this passion feeds into her huge respect for the people she meets in her work.
